Our client, a leading player in the logistics and transportation industry, is seeking an experienced HR Manager to be based at their Head Office in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the HR Manager will be responsible for aligning people strategies with business objectives. The role will oversee recruitment, employee engagement, training and development, statutory compliance, payroll coordination, and policy implementation to support organizational growth and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute recruitment activities in line with department manpower requirements.
- Standardize and update HR documentation, including offer letters, contracts, job descriptions, and exit forms.
- Maintain accurate employee master data, including ID cards, contracts, medicals, NSSF, and staff records.
- Lead the onboarding and induction process for all new employees.
- Oversee performance management and appraisal processes across departments.
- Prepare and maintain monthly HR reports on headcount, attrition, absenteeism, and disciplinary matters.
- Manage employee grievances, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions in consultation with management.
- Ensure compliance with Tanzanian labor laws and keep management informed of any regulatory changes.
- Coordinate payroll inputs with the Accounts team, including attendance, leave, and deductions.
- Organize employee training, safety workshops, and development sessions in collaboration with department heads.
- Promote company culture, employee welfare, and retention through engagement activities.
