Job Description
Our client, who is in the logistics and freight industry, is seeking a Sales & Operations Executive to join their growing team. The Sales & Operations Executive will be responsible for driving new business acquisition while supporting the core operational needs of the business. This includes identifying and securing high-value clients, managing key accounts, improving operational efficiency, and contributing to cost reduction efforts. The ideal candidate is competent, commercially minded, a strong relationship builder, and eager to learn and grow within a specialized industry.
Responsibilities:
• Actively prospect and acquire new high-value clients for the company's air freight, sea freight and logistics services.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and new clients.
• Support day-to-day operational functions to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve business efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Develop a strong understanding of the company's service offerings, including the import and export of specialized cargo such i.e spare parts, aircraft parts and all general cargos.
• Coordinate internally across relevant departments to support both sales and operational processes.
• Prepare sales proposals, quotations, and service agreements and follow through to deal closure.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
• Provide after-sales support and ensure ongoing client satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and company policies.
• Ensure accurate billing.
Requirements
• Diploma or Degree in Sales, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a sales and/or operations role, preferably within the logistics and freight industry.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Commercially driven with the ability to acquire and retain high-value clients.
• Understanding of freight operations, including import and export processes, is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Well organized with the ability to attend and manage virtual meetings during the initial remote working period.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and eager to grow within the business.
• Proficiency in MS Office and relevant operational or CRM tools.
• Ability to transition to an on-site working arrangement upon completion of office setup.
