Job Summary.
Our Client, a Tourism company is looking for a qualified Head
of IT who will be responsible for the management of the IT team and will work
closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend,
develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects
of the organization.
Responsibilities;
- Responsible for strategic IT planning and
overseeing the financial aspects of the IT dept., including purchasing,
budgeting & budget review (Project Manager for all IT projects across the
company) and act as vendors point of contact.
- Responsible
for managing and supporting all ICT Systems within the organization including Telecommunications
(systems, infrastructure, vendors)
- To manage and champion IT
Policy and procedure formulation and implementation.
- To manage and support Data
communications infrastructure and systems, Information
Systems and applications, Radio
Communications Systems, Solar
and inverter backup systems for key communications.
- To design, deploy, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and administer Network
infrastructure, router, switches, PtP Links (Point-to-Point Links), WAP’s
(Wireless Access points) firewalls and servers.
- To oversee and Support LANs, WANs, network
segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
- To ensure security of data, network access and
backup systems.
- Maintain system
efficiency and identify potential for improvements.
- Liaise with the IT
Heads in different platform for recommendations for future upgrades.
- Administer core
network services such as Active Directory, DNS, Trobonet and Exchange 2013
servers.
- Generate
documentation, training aids and technical documentation as required.
- Maintain integrity
of the network, server deployment, and security.
- Updates technical
knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional
publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional
organizations and forums.
- Coordinate IT staffing, including hiring,
supervision, scheduling, professional development and discipline.
- Collaborate with and maintain communications
with executives and department heads in the organization.
- Research IT solutions and make recommendations
for the improvement of IT systems and IT infrastructure.
- To assist in any
other areas where feasible within the organization.
