Job Summary
Our Client, a Logistics Company, is seeking a qualified Logistics Controller who will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the
movement of goods and vehicles within the company’s logistics operation. This
includes managing fuel allocation, ensuring compliance with safety protocols,
incident management, and optimizing vehicle performance. The role requires
close interaction with drivers, fleet managers, and tracking systems to ensure
smooth and cost-effective transportation.
Responsibilities
- Track the location and
status of trucks using GPS systems.
- Ensure drivers are following
planned routes and schedules.
- Respond to any deviations,
delays, or incidents during transport.
- Maintain constant
communication with drivers to provide updates or changes to routes or
schedules.
- Act as the central point of
contact for drivers and clients during shipments.
- Handle incidents such as
breakdowns, accidents, or route deviations, ensuring immediate action is
taken.
- Report and document
incidents according to company protocols.
- Ensure drivers adhere to
road safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor and report on any violations,
such as speeding or unauthorized stops.
- Ensure cargo is loaded,
transported, and delivered as per schedule.
- Monitor proof of delivery
(POD) to ensure timely completion of deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of
trips, fuel usage, incidents, and delivery times.
- Generate daily or weekly
reports on fleet performance, delays, and any operational issues.
